Project Overview
Battery Storage for a Sawmill Beyond the Utility Grid
GeePower supplied a 200 kWh energy storage system for a sawmill located far from the utility grid. With grid access constrained by distance, the customer uses the battery storage system as part of the site’s off-grid power supply.
The ESS483920 system comprises 14 battery modules, one combiner box and three cabinets. It provides approximately 200 kWh of nominal storage capacity, with local monitoring for battery status and operating information.
Because sawmill operations can generate significant airborne sawdust and debris, the battery system was installed inside a dedicated prefabricated equipment room to reduce direct exposure to the dusty operating environment.
Installation has been completed at the customer’s site. The project gallery below shows the installed system.
